NEBRASKA STATE FAIR POSITION
DESCRIPTION
Day of Show Runner
As of July 2, 2024
Summary:
Reporting to the Events Manager & Entertainment & Events Director, the Day of Show Runner will be
responsible for transportation of artist and crew and on-site tasks for the National Concerts during
the 2024 Nebraska State Fair. This is a temporary position.
Duties and essential job functions:
Maintain a culture that fosters Nebraska State Fair mission and values to be an exhibition
focused on agriculture and educational experiences that promote families, fun, and Nebraska
pride.
Transportation of artists and crew within a 20-mile radius of Grand Island, Nebraska
including, but not limited to airport, hotels, grocery stores, etc. (Vehicles will be provided)
Run necessary errands for artist personnel grocery shopping, food pick-up, etc.
Various duties on-site at the venue (assist with restocking beverages and snacks, clearing
tables, keeping backstage in order)
Minimum Qualifications:
Must follow basic safety requirements.
Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Must possess a friendly and outgoing personality and serve as a representative for the Fair.
Preference will be given to those able to work every day from approximately 4:00pm to
11:30pm August 25-31, 2024.
Must possess a valid Drivers License and have a clean record.
Must be familiar with the local area and store locations in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
