AnteAGE MD® and Bauman Medical Group Pilot Study
“As a board certified hair restoration physician who has
specialized in the treatment of hair loss for over 20 yrs, I’ve
seen many “treatments” come and go, but I’m excited about
the results we are seeing from the AnteAGE MD®
non-invasive growth factor protocol. Knowing the long track
record of safety of these cosmetic products we embarked
on a small clinical trial pilot study.
In our study we are measuring hair growth from the
AnteAGE MD® Microneedling Solution with growth factor
and botanical protocol using global photos, microscopic
photos (demoscopy), patient and physician assessments, as
well as scientific cross sectional hair bundle measurements.
Our goal is to begin to elucidate the proper protocols for
patient selection and application of the treatment from a
physician perspective.
We are also tracking the prescribed regimen’s feasibility,
ease of use, patient compliance and of course, monitoring
patient feedback and any adverse events.
Although we are in the preliminary stages of the study, I’ve
thus far been impressed with the early results from our
scientific measurements, visible improvements in hair
growth/scalp coverage, dramatic improvements in hair
quality and texture in addition to the patients’ enthusiasm
for the treatment. These factors have encouraged us to
share our findings with our colleagues in the Aesthetic
Medicine and Hair Restoration fields so that further
evaluations and studies of this modality can be undertaken.”

SUMMARY
UTILIZING MEDICAL MICRONEEDLING WITH HUMAN MARROW-DERIVED GROWTH
FACTOR CONDITIONED MEDIA AS A NOVEL APPROACH FOR HAIR RESTORATION
STUDY SUMMARY + PROTOCOL
The study included 12 patients, 6 men and 6 women all
presenting visibly thinning and miniaturization in the crown
and obvious temporal thinning and recession. Qualifying
participants have not utilized PRP, LLT, hair growth
supplementation or DHT blocker, Minoxidil, Finasteride or
Propecia. All patients received a baseline assessment
conducted and documented by Bauman Medical Group
(BMG) upon acceptance.
The study involved microneedling the scalp utilizing the
AnteAge MD® Microneedling Solution for hair growth. All
participants were given the AnteAge® Home Hair System
following the existing protocol. The in-house treatments
were performed utilizing a needling depth working to the
clinical end of erythema, edema and possibly mild punctate
bleeding, typically between 0.8-1.2mm. Each treatment was
performed two weeks apart for 6 months. Trichometry
measured three sets of data points utilizing HairCheck and
area specific photography.
Michelle Cheatham, an approved member of BMG was the
study director and Microneedling Solution was provided by
AnteAGE MD®.
