Program Restrictions
1. All projects or major appliances must be for permanent use within the service area of
Coles-Moultrie Electric Cooperative and must be purchased in CY 2022.
2. Major appliances, lighting fixtures and bulbs, or other apparatus may not be resold or
otherwise transfer ownership from the member applying for the rebate. The Cooperative
reserves the right to delay a rebate up to 180 days from the date of application to
determine eligibility.
3. A member may apply for only one rebate per calendar year.
4. Rebates for energy conservation and/or energy efficiency may not be combined with
other rebates from the Cooperative.
5. Rebates will not exceed $250.00, nor be more than 25%of the actual cost of purchase
and installation, or completion of the project. Commercial accounts may qualify for
$500.
6. A rebate for a residential lighting efficiency project may not exceed $100.
7. The member must provide itemized copies of invoices, sales receipts, etc. with the
application for rebate. Pedestals, extended warranties, sales tax, delivery, or disposal
fees will not qualify for a rebate.
8. The member must provide legible evidence of electrical energy conservation or electrical
energy efficiency to qualify for a rebate.
9. Projects or installations in mobile homes will not qualify unless the mobile home is a
permanent residence of the member & member owns property mobile home is on.
10. Final determination of a purchase or project to qualify for a rebate will be based solely on
the best judgment of the personnel employed by the Cooperative.
11. The program will terminate December 31, 2022, or whenever allocated funds have been
depleted, whichever may occur the earliest.
12. Rebates will be determined on a first-come, first-qualified basis.
13. Small appliances will not qualify for a rebate.
14. Approved rebates will be processed as a check to the member-owner account
holder.
