Greetings from the Worthy View 2022 Team!
After a three-year hiatus, we can’t wait to be back in the fields! As well as the return of all
the Festival’s much loved areas, stages and the incredible line up, there are a few exciting
changes to Glastonbury 2022 including:
The introduction of Worthy View’s sister campsite, Sticklinch.
New stages in Silver Hayes: The Lonely Hearts Club, an art deco cinema structure
standing over 40 foot high, and Firmly Rooted, a space celebrating all things
sound-system culture.
The return of Arcadia’s iconic fire breathing spider.

We are all getting very excited about meeting you in a field very soon. This is your
comprehensive guide on the arrival and check-in processes, as well as the onsite
facilities. This should operate as your FAQ's, so do share with the rest of your group,
as it only comes to you as Lead Booker.
If you can't find the answer to your questions below, then do please contact us, we're here
to help! Likewise we are always looking to improve so do send any feedback through to us
too.
Stay in the loop!
Throughout the event we will be tweeting lots of info and updates, so stay in touch, beat
the queues and prepare for the weather by adding us on twitter at @worthyview
Worthy View Campsite Location
Worthy View campsite is at the South of Glastonbury Festival site, situated above the Tipi
Field, by Strummerville. Access to and from the main Festival is via the Worthy View Gate.
There is a climb of approximately 250m up a hill to the campsite. It is a STEEP and
winding path. We recommend it is not suitable for wheelchairs or children’s
pushchairs. If you have any injuries or conditions that may impact your mobility, or if you
have any concerns at all, please contact us and we can advise you. Contact us
Arrival & Check In
You will receive one barcode per booking, which can be used as many times as the
occupancy of your tent permits. It is advisable to print barcodes out, as phone scanning
can be problematic.
Group Arrival / Arriving at Different Times
As lead booker, you are responsible for distributing the bar code to any members of your
group who will be arriving separately. For security, we would advise that you do NOT
distribute the barcode if you don't have to. The barcode will only permit as many scans
as the occupancy of your accommodation. Once the barcode has been scanned the
maximum number of times permitted by your booking, it will not permit any further entries
and people in your party may be denied entry. Please impress on your party how important
it is to keep your barcode safe.
IMPORTANT: the barcode only allows access to your accommodation in conjunction with
a valid Festival ticket. Your barcode does NOT replace your Festival tickets, which you
must present on arrival at Worthy View. Any ticket queries should be referred to See
Tickets.
Children
Please email us if you are bringing your children on site to ensure we have enough
wristbands on the gate. In addition to the adults, we allow one child per two & four person
accommodation unit and two children per six & eight person accommodation unit.
Arrival and Check in Process
·
Have your Festival ticket in hand and ready to show
·
Please be prepared that all adult attendees may be required to show some photographic ID
·
Show the confirmation email with your Barcode
·
Once your ticket has been checked it will be swapped for a Worthy View wristband. Please
look after it, as we are not able to replace lost or damaged wristbands.
·
You will receive your Festival programme as you exit the gate.
Please note you will only be issued with sufficient Worthy View wristbands for the maximum
occupancy of your tent. A Worthy View wristband will only be issued to the person presenting
a Glastonbury Festival ticket plus Worthy View barcode and will be put onto the ticket holder
by the wristbanding team. We cannot give a number of wristbands to the lead booker to
distribute later.
Once you have gone through the Worthy View gate, feel free to make your own way to your
tent. We send out your tent number and row and a map of the campsite prior to the
event. Otherwise, you can head to Pink Reception (open 24hrs) where you will be
greeted by our friendly team who will provide directions to your tent. There will also be
stewards around to help you carry your stuff.
We also have a Festival Information Point at Pink Reception, staffed with a lovely bunch
ready to assist you throughout the Festival.
Check Out
Please vacate the campsite on the morning of Monday 27th June. (The campsite will be
closed at 12 noon.) Please remember to take all of your belongings and LEAVE NO
TRACE.

As you exit through the Worthy View Gate you will need to show your barcode to the
security who will allow you to come up to Worthy View to collect your wristband from the
main Worthy View entrance. Make sure you do this straight away as you will be challenged
within the campsite if you’re not wearing the correct Worthy View wristband in addition to
your Festival band.

Showers
Worthy View and Sticklinch Campsites are the only public campsites at the Festival which
offer exclusive showers. Demand can be very high which can cause issues with water
supply so these are some things to bear in mind:
·
The showers are communal / semi-partitioned, with a large communal changing
area. You may want to bring a bikini or swimming shorts if you don’t want to shower
in the nude!
·
They are separated into male and female shower units.
·
We encourage everyone to prepare for the showers in the changing room to speed
up the flow of people in the shower units themselves.
·
Showers will open a minimum of 7:00am 14:00pm and then 18:00pm
23:00pm.
·
The queues are the largest between 8:00am and 10:00am, so why not freshen up
for the evening ahead instead?
·
The water tanks need to refill and this can take a while as we are on a hill, so there
can be some downtimes. Showering outside of peak hours is advisable.
·
Keep in touch with @worthyview for updates and to discover the quiet times.
·
Please use water sparingly and try to stick to a 3-5 minute shower so everyone can
enjoy the facilities.
·
It's a Festival, take some time out from the usual routine, and go without a shower!
Toilets
We have a good quantity of toilets that include, blocks of flushing loos located near the farm
and the Village Green traders and blocks of compost loos.
We always want to have first class facilities at Worthy View and have a dedicated team of
cleaners regularly servicing the toilets. In addition to our flushing loo’s we will have compost
loos at Worthy View this year for the first time. We have found compost loo’s to be far more
effective across the Festival; if used properly they smell less and they require less servicing
which means less vehicles moving around the site. The other great thing is less chemicals
and more composting of waste so they’re a far more eco friendly addition to the campsite.
Sink Units
At the main toilet block and along the hedge rows there are sink units with push taps, so
you can brush your teeth, wash your face and clean any pots & pans.
Please don’t use the sinks in the toilet trailers to brush your teeth as they are hand
wash only!
The Pamper Parlour
No need to weigh your bag down with hair dryers or hair straighteners as there are no
electrical points. Instead, head to the Pamper Parlour which boasts new salon standard hair
dryers, curlers and straighteners, all just waiting to help make you look fabulous!
The Village Green Food and Drink
The Village Green at Worthy View is the perfect pit stop to refuel, meet friends, recuperate
with a refreshing drink or just relax.
We want you to know that you can get great food before heading down into the throng of
the Festival! You can also get a decent snack or dinner if you’re popping back to freshen up
for the night time. Check out these corkers and make sure you pay them a visit over the
Festival.
THE COCOA CARAVAN
If you are looking for the perfect hot chocolate perfect for those Festival evenings, as well
as artisan coffee, speciality tea and homemade cakes to get you through the day then this
is the place to be. All made and served out of a lovingly restored vintage caravan.
BURRITO & NACHOS
Burrito & Nachos are back, having traded at Worthy View for two previous Festivals, and
offering a full Mexican menu, alongside a breakfast burrito menu in the mornings.
THAT’S AMORE PIZZAS
That’s Amore Pizzas take pride in their menu and the quality of their handmade and hand
stretched dough. The team can manage to stretch by hand 6 doughs every 90 seconds
which means you don’t have to wait an age to taste a great product!

Bristol, with a focus on healthy, tasty, nutritious foods and conscious environmental
practices. Our version of Emmeline in the field will provide the same fresh, happy,

Great food served by fun loving people. Pay a visit to enjoy some perfect sausage and
mash to set you up for the day.
THE BUTTY BOYS
A Worthy View staple, the Butty Boys bring a simple quality offering of breakfasts, butties,
baguettes, bagels, brews and chips. Only quality free-range British meat/eggs sourced from
their local lake district butchers are used with Cumberland sausages which are made using
their special recipe. They make fresh bespoke sandwiches so people can have it how they
like it and serve them with a smile and sense of humour!

such as sleeping bags, torches, pillows and warm socks! If there is something specific that
you’re worried you’ll need to get to enhance your camping experience then please get in

Alcohol
You are allowed to bring your own alcohol to Glastonbury Festival, but we only allow a
reasonable quantity for personal consumption (no more than you can carry in your hands
on your first arrival to the campsite). Please do remember glass bottles are not permitted,
any glass will be confiscated.
When consuming alcohol you should drink responsibly, make sure you stay within your
limits and keep a lookout for your friends. Anyone suspected of selling alcohol on the site or
bringing excessive amounts into the event will also have it confiscated by security.
We will be operating a Challenge 21 policy at all bars at Worthy View, so please do not be
offended if you are asked for proof of age when you buy alcohol or attempt to bring alcohol
on to the site.
Drugs
Dealing or using illegal drugs is not permitted at Worthy View and drug enforcement laws
are applicable on this site. Security and stewarding staff will be on site to deal with any drug
offences in accordance with national laws and guidelines and supported by Avon &
Somerset Police. You would also be evicted from the campsite and prevented from entering
the Festival.
Experimenting with drugs can lead to adverse reactions. If you do take drugs and you
become ill, depressed or frightened please ask a steward to direct you to one of the
facilities on site, which can help and support you.
Other Useful Information

drinking water. So bring a reusable bottle that you can fill up. More information about the
Festival's efforts towards less landfill can be found here.

these from the Pink reception.
Mobile Phone Charging
We do not have any electrical sockets in the campsite or phone charging facilities.
There is phone charging at the EE site in the main arena.
Lockers
There are lockers at the bottom of Pennard Hill. More info here.
